For over 16 years, American Indian DJ from Red Rock, OK (near the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Reservation) known as Olywurld (Oliver Plumley-Otoe/Comanche/Pawnee/Lakota) has continuously brought together American Indian songs and dances with Electronic Dance Music. When traveling between each sub-genre of House music and beyond, Oly brings his tribal heritage, quick mixing, and rising energy to any crowd. Olywurld has worked with well-known crews of Utopia Crew and Deeper Productions of Tulsa, Nuvo Music of Washington DC, and Subsonix Crew and ElectrOklahoma of Oklahoma City. He has performed at numerous festivals and venues in Albuquerque (Gathering of Nations), OKC (Mystic Sanctuary), Fayetteville (Soulstice Festival), Denver (Mix Hoka and Vinyl), Fort Worth (Afterhours), Dallas (Lizard Lounge), Fort Smith (Area 51), Washington DC (I Bar and Washington Circle Hotel), and Miami Beach (Winter Music Conference and Cameo). Olywurld has opened for Paul Oakenfold, Bad Boy Bill, Steve Smooth, Frankie Bones, DJ Mea, DJ Irene, Micro, Richard Vission, Openair, Paul Anthony, and DJ Devine & Emily Play. In 2006, Oly was a Top 10 National finalist for FutureMusic.com’s Next Big Thang DJ Contest and was one of the top 50 Emerging Artist the first Vegas Music Conference. His Native hip-hop freestyle flute track (Bounce) was nominated for Best Instrumental Contemporary Song at the 2008 Native-E Music Awards. Oly released his first artist album in September of 2015 during his performance at the Oklahoma Indian Summer Festival in Bartlesville, OK. It is 14 original tracks from 2006 to 2014. Oly is currently working on a new album focusing on Native American vocals infused in deep house grooves.
